FACHE was created with the vision to support families who educate independently, and thus were without other support . We are not a support group for families with children enrolled in: public or charter schools, public ISPs or other government programs.

Dear Brothers and Sisters,

This is your membership form for next year and your FACHE General Information Sheet. Please read the information sheet, fill out the form and mail it, along with your check after June 30 th . FACHE memberships run from Sept.1- June 30. As long as we receive your completed form and payment by August 15 th , you will receive your first newsletter for the next membership year. We will be purging our records and will not be rolling over this years’ information. It is imperative that you fill the form out completely or you will miss your first newsletter. (Organizations with whom we exchange complimentary issues, please don’t complete this form )

FACHE Doctrinal Statement…

We believe that the Bible is the inspired, inerrant Word of God and is our manual for faith and practice. We believe that Jesus Christ is God incarnate, that He was born of a virgin, lived on Earth in human form, redeeming mankind from eternal consequences of sin.

We believe that our children belong to God and are entrusted to us by Him. Therefore, we believe that our purpose for education is to train our children to be faithful servants of God and to know Him.

Families qualifying for FACHE membership home educate by:

Filing a Private School Affidavit (you become your own private school)

Enrolling in a Private Christian Independent Study (also known as an umbrella school).

His or her own convictions to remain under God’s authority alone or their churches authority.

Our Purpose…

Foothill Area Christian Home Educators exists to support your family’s efforts in home education under God led authority. Our goal is to provide collective encouragement and support for private homeschooling families in the greater foothill area. This is accomplished through a bi-monthly newsletter, local support groups, various workshops, a lending library and curriculum suggestions. We also sponsor a yearly New and Used Curriculum Fair. Our newsletter The Foothill Beacon, keeps families informed of ongoing activities, seminars and field trip opportunities. You will also find tidbits of encouragement here. We look forward to hearing from you. Please add your voice to ours!

FACHE strongly recommends all home educators to be a part of Home School Legal Defense Association (HSLDA). FACHE members qualify for a group discount. Membership applications are available directly from HSLDA.
